Invitation communities to a prayer for Christian Unity service 18 May

Hello everyone,

I would like to invite your faith communities to the a Prayer for Christian Unity service this coming Sunday afternoon – 

Week of Prayer for Christian Unity service – May 18thAll Christians are warmly invited to the service which will feature the songs of the Taize community.May 18th at Immanuel Lutheran Church, 37 Burnie St, Lyons

4:30pm – bring and share afternoon tea in Hall

5:30 – 6:30pm – service in the Church.

The event is being hosted by Immanuel Luther Church Lyons, and organised by the ecumenical group that runs a regular Taize style service at Immanuel.

The service will follow the Taize community format and is adapted from the World Council of churches 2025 service (1700 years since the council of Nicea). There is the opportunity for some participants to read a prayer, reading etc. 

Could you please publicise the event and hopefully see you at the afternoon tea and service.
