A National Hour of Adoration: Australia Begins Its Journey to the 2028 Eucharistic Congress
On Sunday, 1 March 2026, Catholics across Australia are invited to pause in prayer before the Blessed Sacrament, joining together as the Church begins a new spiritual journey toward the 2028 International Eucharistic Congress in Sydney.
This national hour of adoration, led by the Eucharist28 team, invites every parish community to “cast away an hour of time” and come before Jesus in the Eucharist—seeking renewal of faith, hope, and love in our lives and in our nation. Even a few quiet moments after Mass are a heartfelt way to take part.
As part of this preparation, the Archdiocese of Sydney will host a series of workshops from March to May, helping parish leaders deepen their understanding and practice of Eucharistic adoration.
The pilgrimage has begun—let us come together before the Lord in prayer and trust that He will renew the heart of the Church in Australia.
