Project Compassion 2026 – Unite Against Poverty: Every Donation Counts

This Lent, our parish is joining Caritas Australia’s Project Compassion appeal, which invites us to Unite Against Poverty and stand in solidarity with the world’s most vulnerable communities. Through Project Compassion, Caritas supports long-term development programs and emergency responses that help people access essentials such as food, clean water, education, shelter and medical care.

Every donation, no matter how small, helps transform lives and brings hope to families and communities facing poverty and crisis. When we give together this Lent, we help create opportunities for people to build a better future and witness to the Gospel call to love our neighbours in practical, life‑changing ways.

We encourage you to take home a Project Compassion box or envelope, give online, and keep the work of Caritas Australia in your prayers this Lent. Your compassion and generosity truly make a difference – every prayer, every act of solidarity and every donation counts.
